What to do in Spring?
Thoroughly rake
the entire lawn (De-thatch it)
Fertilize entire
lawn (Not too much / Not too little = Just the right amount!)
Over-seed
entire lawn
Aerate entire
lawn (Not necessary, but helps)
Fix problem
areas & dead patches by top-soiling & re-seeding
Spray for Weeds and/or hand-pull the big weeds = get the
root! (late spring once the weeds pop up & you see them!)
Summer
Fertilize entire
lawn (Not too much / Not too little = Just the right amount!) & don’t
fertilize a lawn in a heat & drought!
Deeply water
once or twice a week when in a heat & drought period (mornings or evenings
only)
Spray for Weeds and/or hand-pull weeds = get the root!
Fall
Fertilize entire
lawn (Not too much / Not too little = Just the right amount!)
Over-seed
entire lawn
Fall
Clean-Up (Rake up all leaves & keep lawn surface clear while it is still
growing until Oct. 31st & then leave it for the winter)
Spray for weeds and/or hand-pull weeds (Not necessary, but will
help)
